Child protection
Many participants in our competitions and summer academy are children and young people. Their protection comes before everything else.

Principles
- We do not tolerate any form of violence, boundary violation or abuse of power, whether physical, emotional or sexual, including online.
- Jury members, teachers and staff treat young participants with respect, as equals; criticism is aimed at the performance, never the person.
- No one has to do anything that makes them feel uncomfortable. A ‘no’ is respected.
- We only publish photos and videos of children with the consent of their parents or guardians, and we show no recognisable photos of children on this website.
Supervision
The competition regulations do not cover supervision; before travelling, agree with the organising committee who will accompany your child during the rounds in Vienna. For the festival at Burg Plankenstein, where participants stay overnight, please discuss supervision and accommodation with the festival team before registering.
Raising a concern
If something worries you, whether you are a child or young person, a parent or an observer, tell us: in person to the organising team, by email to office
